I am also looking at releasing a short Christmas Story, and will be looking at publishers that are available for submissions and fingers crossed a publisher will like the book I am currently working on.

New Year, New starts

Well I hope everyone has had a great Christmas and New Year.

The middle of last year started to be a half a year of first for me, and now I'm hoping the coming year will get better and better.

I haven't made any new years resolutions, as I have started to think why wait until new year to make changes or why say this is what I'll do this year. I think it's a time to change what you don't like right now and do things you want to do and hey if it doesn't happen there is always tomorrow or something else you can work towards.

I have been working hard on my short story and have written 3,100 words today - my mind is currently feeling like mush, due to a late now and now sitting in front of the laptop for the last 4 hours - head desk!! - hoping to be finished soon and will be if I keep this pace up.

SO do any of my few blog readers have an new year resolutions?

And would anyone like to be on my blog for any reason at all?

It's nearly Christmas guys.

Christmas is here!!

Well people, it's that time of the year again when we can no longer hide out and pretend the big C isn't here, it is of course Christmas!

With the dark nights coming in, and the bitterly cold days, and even colder nights it's got me feeling a little blue lately. After all it's months of madness and having our money spent before it's even in our banks. But I have found a few things I am liking... Nights in with the heating on full blast and curling up watching tv with a special someone - I'm sure everyone loves that anyway.
And more importantly my writing is going really well, I am writing more now, because it's a form of escapism for me, and I'm sure for everyone. Just like reading a good book, it's good to get so wrapped up in a world where anything can happen, and a happy ending is ALWAYS at the end (depending the books you read) I find the same in writing.

I also have a short story working away in the back of my mind which I have started, the people in my current book are temporarily AWOL, I think the madness has finally gotten to them, so giving them a break for a while.

Also I have been answering questions this week for my first ever blog interview. Of course I will post the blog on here when it is up and live.

So, how is everyone getting on this Christmas? Is the festive madness getting to you? Or do you love this time of year?

Where do I start?....

Firstly sorry for the lack of blogging, there has been a lot that has gone on lately (since June)
Feel like it's been just about forever since my last post.

 

Well I now have a contract YAY ^_^ Can you believe it?! Someone wants to publish what I write? Crazy I know, I got this brilliant news a few months ago and been trying to write like crazy and no doubt myself. I have also been a procasination Queen lately - bad Alaine I know. But I am working on this. I'm currently taking part in NaNoWriMo to try and motivate myself some more.

 

And I finally have the laptop all to myself due to dumping laptop stealer boyfriend for a lot of reasons, and one because he turned in to a grade A jerk - which has helped me create a not so nice person in my book - so I should thank him for that... and well he was jealous I had followed my dream and was being published even though he didn't do anything to try and get himself published even with all my help... but enough of him... There is a new person in my life right now and things are going good - he is also helping me with my book - a guy with a motorbike (cool or what?!) With out the bike ride I'd still be busting my ass trying to be published...

Also enjoying having new friends and finally having a social life, everything seems to have taken off at once - hence procrastinating a little too much lately oh dear... speaking of which - one of my friends Cami has a Music, beauty and fashion reviews and pre-views. blog which I would love for you to drop by and have a little read of - very useful =) http://thriftyniftyshopperuk.blogspot.co.uk/
 

I now had an author page on facebook too! WooHoo...

 

Writing is going well I like to think - just need to get my head down and write when I come home from work.
